Role Description
This role involves various accounting responsibilities including reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Reconcile general ledger, bank accounts, and record monthly adjusting journal entries
- Calculate month-end accruals and understand entry
- Participate in the annual audit by providing schedules to auditors
- Manage daily cash, including reconciliations between bank and internal systems
- Work closely with Treasury, AP, and AR to determine proper entries
- Assist in yearly filing and reconciliation of unclaimed property
- Support daily accounting operations including AP, AR, and financial reporting
- Participate in ad-hoc analytical and research projects and process improvement initiatives
- Set-up reconciliation process properly
- Research GAAP guidance as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- 5-8 years of accounting experience with GAAP and financial statement knowledge
- Experience with a large ERP and financial reporting tools preferred
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- Understand complex GL and bank reconciliations
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, ability to write simple formulas)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and flexible individual able to perform multiple tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to research and troubleshoot issues
- Proactive and team-centered with a collaborative working style
- Exposure to AI-assisted accounting, reporting, or automation tools
- Identifies opportunities to streamline reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and variance analysis
