Role Description

Responsible for the development of highly sophisticated alpha-generating models with a focus on:

  • Asset allocation
  • Portfolio optimization
  • Security selection

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the idea generation process
  • Interacting with Portfolio Managers and other asset management team members to understand macroeconomic and risk management issues
  • Improving existing models and processes
  • Applying concepts such as effective duration, OAS, spread duration, effective convexity, yield measures, beta, and tracking error
  • Working with fixed-income derivatives such as futures, credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, swaptions, bond and futures options
  • Developing interactive web dashboards tools for performance monitoring and attribution
  • Working on the development of machine learning models for portfolio selection and optimization problems

Telecommuting permitted.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Quantitative and Computational Finance, or a closely related quantitative field
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Quantitative Research Analyst, or a related position

Requirements

  • Applying quantitative techniques in financial mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics to solve forecasting risk measurement and management problems
  • Utilizing Python, SQL, and Databricks for agile programming and software development
  • Conducting financial, statistical, and quantitative analysis and modeling projects
  • Working with fixed-income derivatives including futures, credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, swaptions, bond and future options
  • Developing interactive dash or Shiny web applications for Portfolio Management and Performance analysis
  • Developing machine learning and advanced optimization models for model portfolios
