Role Description
The Cellular Workflow Automation Specialist is responsible for sales activities related to the Cellular Workflow Automation product platform, including:
- Colony Pickers
- Clone Imaging
- Single Cell Dispensing
- Bioprinting
- Automated Cell Culture
- Custom Workcell Automation Solutions
- Organoid Expansion Services
- Reagents
- Service
This role focuses on building and maintaining strong customer relationships to grow Molecular Devices' market share, revenue, and profitability annually in target segments such as:
- Life sciences
- Biotech
- Pharma
- Academic research labs
- Contract labs
- Government installations
- Some clinical labs
This position reports to the Manager, North America Cellular Workflow Automation and is part of the Sales organization working remotely to cover the West US territory.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Achieve North America revenue goals and targets for the Cellular Workflow Automation product platform in the assigned territory
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database in Salesforce.com
- Generate accurate monthly forecasting for the assigned territory
- Perform lead generation activities including but not limited to eblasts, seminars, work days with business partners
- Attend and participate in regional and local product shows as a brand ambassador for Molecular Devices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of capital equipment sales experience selling into the life science or life science industry experience
- Knowledge of cell line development, cell culture and automation technology
- Track record of successful Capital Equipment sales/customer facing experience
Requirements
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% under certain circumstances
- Ability to travel – 50% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
